Jenny Frøysa (f. 1997) er saxofonist, bassklarinettist og komponist bosatt i Trondheim. Hun er utdannet ved NTNU Jazzlinja i Trondheim, hvor hun nå også underviser i flere fag. Frøysa er aktiv i flere prosjekter, blant annet PHØNIX, Cosmic Swing Orchestra, Leirblaa og Subcurrent, og turnerer jevnlig både i Norge og Europa. Hun har også vært med i flere Trondheim Jazzorkester-prosjekter, og i 2025 skal hun spille inn plate med nytt prosjekt i eget navn: “Jenny Frøysa’s Artful Ensemble”. De siste årene har Frøysa også markert seg som komponist, og har skrevet flere bestillingsverk til storband.
Jenny Frøysa (b. 1997) is a Norwegian saxophone and bass clarinet player and composer based in Trondheim, Norway. She studied at the well known “NTNU Jazzlinja”, where she now teaches several subjects. Frøysa is involved in several musical projects, e.g. PHØNIX, Cosmic Swing Orchestra, Leirblaa and Subcurrent, who frequently tours both Norway and Europa. She has also collaborated with the famous Trondheim Jazz Orchestra on several occasions, and in 2025 she will make her first album with her own project “Jenny Frøysa’s Artful Ensemble”. As a composer she has written commissions for several big bands in Norway.
