Ingunn S. Ystad graduated from the Trondheim Academy of Fine Art in 2012 and has held exhibitions at Heimdal Art Association (2014), Bodø Art Association (2017), Studio Blikket (2018), and Kimen Cultural Centre (2021). She has also exhibited at Nils Aas Art Workshops (2012), Trondhjems Art Association (2015), and participated in a project during Kulturnatt at the Trøndelag Centre for Contemporary Art (2015). Ystad has taken part in the Trøndelag Exhibition on several occasions and her work was acquired by the Kunstmuseet i Nord-Trøndelag collection in 2020.
