Klaus E. Holm
Klaus Ellerhusen Holm is a Norwegian musician and composer from Oslo, currently based in Trondheim. His primary instruments are saxophone and clarinet, and he works mainly within the creative jazz field as well as in improvisation and contemporary music, both as a composer and performer. He can be heard in bands such as Nakama, Honest John, Goose Green, and the Trondheim Jazz Orchestra. In recent years, he has also composed for performers and ensembles in the contemporary music field, including Tøyen Fil & Klafferi, Ensemble neoN, Lars Ove Fossheim, and Kalle Moberg.
Holm is drawn to the raw, unpretentious, and unusual, both as a composer and performer, while also aiming to bring elements of free jazz energy into the frameworks and languages of other musical genres.
