Sigrid Sand Angelsen is a cellist, performer-composer, and improviser from Trondheim. With a degree in classical cello from NTNU and a degree in “New Audience and Innovative Practice” from the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague, she works across genres through performance, composition, teaching, and production. In her artistic practice, she explores the role and potential of the cello through playing in her own and others’ projects, as well as projects with project-based institutions, particularly within contemporary music and improvisation.
