Tale Vang Ellefsen is an interdisciplinary musician, composer, sound designer, and improvising performer based in Trondheim, educated at HiNT and NTNU. With a background in traditional Norwegian fiddle playing, she has developed an artistic practice that moves freely between acoustic and electronic expressions, as well as between composed and improvised forms. She works across genres and in various formats—creating music and sound design for theatre, film, and interdisciplinary projects, and performing both solo and in collaboration with others.

Her previous work, grants, and memberships include musical direction for Cantus Map (Høstutstillingen 2022) and Glaumr (Høstutstillingen 2023), sound improvisation and performance for Det Andre Teatret and Marte Wulff, installations at K-U-K and TSSK, membership in the nyMusikk composer group, and recipient of grants from Trøndelag County Council for arts and culture, NOPA seed funding, and the Norwegian Composers’ Association seed funding.
